...The richness and abundance of color in the cosmetic products on display comes vividly to life against the pure white background...

Showroom architecture is a blank canvas for products to come alive and shine. Stark Modern and executed in white, this was an exercise in self-control and austerity for our designers. The richness and abundance of color in the cosmetic products on display comes vividly to life against the pure white background.

DCAK-MSA designed the showroom on 57th Street for an Italian cosmetics manufacturer, and built it in a record short period of only 3 weeks. We currently have three additional projects on the boards for this rapidly growing international company.

This new police command center was designed by DCAK-MSA and features advanced communications technologies in response to heightened security requirements. Designed in close cooperation with the Clarkstown Police and the municipal government, the center went on-line in November 2010. In addition to police activity, the center coordinates responses of a wide variety of municipal services including state, county, and local Departments of Transportation, utility company emergencies, as well as the Fire Inspector and the Building Inspector offices. Engineering was provided by the H2M Group, and the construction by the Lorencin Contracting Corp.

After years of anticipation, the children, teens and adults of St. Joseph parish in West Orange, New Jersey received a new gymnasium. Designed very economically by utilizing a pre-engineered structural frame, the building exterior is nonetheless a departure from typical steel buildings, designed to blend with the unique architecture of the parish campus and the residential neighborhood.

The first phase, a 7,400 square foot gymnasium/multipurpose room provides for a wide range of parish events and athletic activities, including catholic league basketball games on its NFHS Official Regulation Basketball Court. Phase 2 of the project will complete the stage area in the gym, and provide office and meeting rooms.

Bishop Dominick Lagonegro, D.D., the Episcopal Vicar of the Northern Vicariates of the Archdiocese of New York, led the ground breaking ceremony at the future site of Saint Joseph Church in Somers, New York, together with Monsignor James Moore, Pastor, and other priests of the Archdiocese of New York. This church, featured in our earlier E-news postings, has selected AARK as the general contractor for their new church and parish complex, on a sensitive site surrounded by the New York City drinking water reservoir. Completion is expected by the end of 2012.

Despite tough economic times, construction began on the new Walgreens store in Ossining, New York, for a rapidly expanding drugstore chain. DLC Management LLC is the developer of the project. DCAK-MSA provided construction documents.
